Who we are
This is a translation for convenience; the Romanian version prevails.
The NovaWorks site and ordering app are operated by the company whose identification details (name, VAT ID, trade register number, registered office and, when stated, share capital) are shown at the top of this page and in the footer of every page.
We 3D print engineering-plastic parts by fused deposition modelling (FDM), in our workshop in Timișoara, from the files our customers send. You can write to us at any time at the email address shown above.
These terms apply to every order placed on the site. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accept them.
Definitions
In these terms:
- Customer: the person who places an order on the site, a company or a private individual.
- Company: a professional (a company, a sole trader or another entity) ordering in connection with its business and identified by a VAT/fiscal ID. Consumer protection rules do not apply to companies.
- Private individual: a consumer, meaning a person ordering outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
- Part: the object produced by 3D printing from the file and the options chosen by the customer (material, colour, quantity).
- Quote: the list of configured parts, with frozen prices and the date until which they are valid.
- Order: the quote the customer places, together with the billing details, delivery, chosen date and payment method.
- Draft: the files, configurations and quotes of a visitor who does not have an account yet.
How an order is formed
You upload your files and choose the material, colour and quantity. The price is calculated automatically from the file, on our servers.
Some parts are checked by a person on our team before payment: for example very thin walls, many supports or large quantities. We show you when we will answer; until then the price and the delivery date are estimates.
The quote freezes the price of every line. A quote is never changed; if you change something, a new quote is made.
At checkout you choose the billing details, the delivery, the date and the payment method, and place the order. Placing it is your firm offer to buy the parts in the quote.
The contract is formed when we confirm your order by email: for card payments, once the payment is accepted; for bank transfer, once we receive the amount on the proforma invoice; for cash on delivery and payment on terms, right after placement.
Prices and VAT
Prices are in lei. VAT (currently 21%) is calculated once, on the net value of each line, as on the invoice.
Prices are shown without VAT for companies and with VAT for private individuals. You choose the display with the “Company / Private individual” switch, and at checkout it follows the billing type. The total to pay always includes VAT.
Prices in a quote are frozen and valid for 90 days from the quote’s creation or, for parts checked by our team, from the sending of the checked quote. The exact date is shown on the quote. After that date the price is calculated again.
Shipping, the cash-on-delivery fee (if you pay on delivery) and free delivery above a threshold, if it applies, are shown at checkout, before you place the order.
Payment
You can pay in one of these ways:
- By card, through Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe; we do not see or keep them.
- By bank transfer, against the proforma invoice we send at placement. The chosen date is held until the deadline written on the proforma (currently 12:00 on the next working day); if the payment arrives later, you get the first possible delivery date, at the same price.
- Cash on delivery, for orders up to a ceiling and with a cash-on-delivery fee, both shown at checkout.
- On terms, only for companies whose payment terms we have approved, within the approved credit limit. The payment term (15 or 30 days) is shown on the invoice.
Invoices
The invoice is issued: for card and bank transfer when the payment is confirmed; for cash on delivery when the parcel is delivered (and paid to the courier); for payment on terms when the parcel leaves the workshop.
The invoice is sent to you by email, is available in your account and is submitted to the Romanian national e-Factura system (ANAF), as the law requires, for companies and private individuals alike.
The delivery date and what can move it
You choose the delivery date from a calendar, before payment. The calendar shows only the days on which the workshop has room for your parts, plus the courier’s transit time to you.
The chosen date is held: while you pay by card, for the time shown at payment (currently 30 minutes); for bank transfer, until the deadline written on the proforma (currently 12:00 on the next working day); for cash on delivery and payment on terms, from placement.
The date may move in these cases:
- Review: while a part is being checked, the date is an estimate and becomes firm after our answer.
- Late payment: if the payment arrives after the hold, you get the first possible date, at the same price.
- Force majeure and events outside our control (for example courier delays, power cuts, serious breakdowns in the workshop).
- Any other delay: we email you the reason and the new date, before the promised date when we can foresee it.
Delivery and transfer of risk
We deliver by courier, to an address or a parcel locker, in Romania only. You receive a tracking link by email, which also works without an account.
Please check the parcel on receipt. If the packaging is damaged, note it on the courier’s document and photograph the parcel.
For private individuals, the risk of loss of or damage to the parts passes to you when you, or a person you designate other than the courier, take possession of the parcel.
For companies, the risk passes to the customer when the parcel is handed to the courier, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Made-to-order parts: no right of withdrawal
Every part is produced from the file and the options you chose, so it is made to the customer’s specifications.
Under Government Emergency Ordinance (OUG) no. 34/2014, art. 16 letter c), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to such goods. We also show this next to the place-order button, before you place the order.
The legal guarantee of conformity still applies (next section).
Conformity of the parts
A part is in conformity when it matches the file sent and the options in the quote: the geometry in the file, and the material, colour and quantity ordered.
Private individuals: we are liable for any lack of conformity that exists at delivery and becomes apparent within 2 years of delivery, under OUG no. 140/2021. You are entitled to have the part brought into conformity (remade) and, under the conditions of the law, to a price reduction or to terminate the contract.
Companies: we warrant that the parts are printed in the material and colour ordered and that their dimensions match the file, within the precision limits of FDM printing, which depend on the part’s size, material and geometry. If a part has critical dimensions or must fit other parts, write to us before ordering.
Layer lines, support marks and small variations in shade are inherent to FDM printing and are not, by themselves, a lack of conformity. Material data sheets are for information; for companies we do not warrant a part’s fitness for a particular use unless agreed in writing.
Complaints
If a part is not in conformity or arrived damaged, email us as soon as possible after you notice the problem, with the order number, a short description and photos of the part and the packaging.
Companies report visible non-conformities before the parts are machined or assembled.
We answer in writing with the proposed remedy: remaking the part, a price reduction or a refund, as the case may be.
Your files
By uploading a file you confirm that you have the right to use it and to ask us to produce the part, and that producing it does not infringe anyone else’s rights (for example copyright, trademarks or patents). You are responsible for this towards us and towards third parties.
We treat every file as confidential, as if we had signed a non-disclosure agreement: we use it only to calculate your price, check the part and produce it. We do not show it to other customers, use it in presentation materials or use it to train artificial intelligence models. If your company needs a signed agreement, write to us.
We do not produce weapons, weapon parts or ammunition, nor objects whose production, possession or sale is prohibited or restricted by law. We may refuse or cancel such an order; in that case we refund the amount paid.
Limitation of liability (companies only)
Towards companies, our liability for an order is limited to the value of that order, and we are not liable for indirect losses (for example loss of profit or production downtime).
The limitation does not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence (Romanian Civil Code, art. 1,355).
For private individuals, our liability is as provided by law. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.
The account and anonymous drafts
You can upload files and see prices without an account. Your drafts are tied to an anonymous browser session and are deleted automatically after 30 days without activity.
The account is created at checkout, with your email address, confirmed by a code. When you sign in, the drafts from the anonymous session move into your account.
Parts and quotes created in a company belong to the company: your colleagues in the same company can see them, and they stay with the company if you leave it.
Keep access to your email address safe. We may suspend an account used for abuse or for attempts to get around the site’s rules.
Governing law and courts
These terms and every order are governed by Romanian law.
We first try to settle any disagreement amicably. If we cannot, disputes are settled by the competent courts in Romania; disputes with companies, by the courts of our registered office. Private individuals may also go to the court of their domicile, under the conditions of the law.
ANPC and alternative dispute resolution
If you are a private individual and we cannot reach an agreement, you can contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), at anpc.ro.
Information on alternative dispute resolution (SAL) is available at anpc.ro/ce-este-sal, under ANPC Order no. 449/2022. The link is also in the footer of every page.
The European online dispute resolution platform (ODR) was closed on 20 July 2025, under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version and the date of the last update are shown at the top of the page.
An order is governed by the version in force when it was placed.
